This page tracks actual ETH liquidations across the exchanges we cover — leveraged positions that were force-closed after their margin fell below the required level. The data separates long and short liquidations and shows totals across 1-hour, 4-hour, 8-hour and 24-hour windows.
The Ethereum liquidation history chart shows how liquidation activity changes over time, while the exchange table shows where those liquidations occurred. A rise in long liquidations usually accompanies sharp downside moves, while heavy short liquidations can appear when ETH moves quickly higher.
Unlike a liquidation heatmap, this page shows liquidations that have already happened rather than estimated price levels where leveraged positions may be liquidated in the future.
An Ethereum liquidation happens when a leveraged ETH position no longer has enough margin to remain open and the exchange force-closes it. Long positions are typically liquidated when ETH falls, while short positions are typically liquidated when ETH rises.
ETH liquidations show positions that have already been force-closed. A liquidation heatmap estimates price areas where leveraged positions may be at risk of liquidation if the market moves toward those levels.
Long liquidations show leveraged bullish positions that were force-closed, while short liquidations show leveraged bearish positions that were closed. Comparing the two helps show which side of the market experienced more forced deleveraging.
The ETH liquidation history chart shows how long and short liquidation values have changed over time. Large spikes indicate periods when unusually large amounts of leveraged ETH positions were closed.
Liquidation events are collected from supported exchange feeds and aggregated into the time windows shown on the page. The exchange table and summary metrics reflect the latest liquidation activity available from those sources.
